Desert Haven
My goal is to get the entire yard mowed, remove random garbage from previous owners. Cut down random shrubs, bushes, and dead trees.
Before
My primary objective was to get the weeds and brush down for fire prevention, and to get it done before the weather got too hot and it all dried out. We had a really wet spring so the weeds and brush was pretty high, as you can see in the before pictures. I have 6.5 acres so it was a pretty big project. I started in April and spent 50+ hours mowing. I put ATV tires on my riding mower and that made so I was able to maneuver more of the terrain. This year I was able to mow more of the yard than I had ever before. I also hauled off 1.6 tons of garbage and dead trees that were in the yard. The garbage was left over from the previous owners, some of it was partially buried and I had to dig it up. I included an after picture of the yard looking from the top of my rock towards the houses to kind of give more of the scope of the project (the property extends back to and includes the house next to the big water tank), I don't have a before picture from this view though.
