Cleaner and Greener

My goal is to reseed the lawn so it's lush and green. Extend the fence so my kids have somewhere to ride bikes. Lay content for a sidewalk. Cut my deck in half and create ground level patio for a fire pit and conversation area. Resurface/repaint my deck. Plant a garden on the side of my house. Plant fruit trees and grapes. Make a fun area for my kids to play. Plant a backyard sitting garden to enjoy. And an outdoor theater.

Before

I wasn't able to do as much as I hoped. I had my baby at the end of May. Pre and post delivery didn't leave me much time or energy to get out in the yard but I did what I could. There was a lot of prep work before I was really able to start doing the cosmetic stuff. Fighting the gophers. Fixing sprinklers. Begging my lawn mower to start over and over again. But I did get my kids involved to help me and we had a blast doing it. The sandbox we built from scrap wood is a huge hit with the kids. Still working on reviving the grass in lots of places. (PSA: apparently splash pads leave circles of dead grass in your lawn.. 🤦)
My goal from the start was to make a sanctuary for my family and friends to relax and feel welcomed. I'm well on my way to doing that. The next step is my veggie garden and the fruit trees. And then my rock fountains. Regardless of the results of this I'm still going to keep building the yard of my dreams. (But I'd love to be chosen for first place. 😊).
