Back Patio Chess
I had this huge area of rocks and dirt, right next to my house. It was always full of spiders, leaves, sticks, and junk. I built a patio, using brick pavers. The whole thing used to be on a slope, but I found out the code and went about 7' from the house at the slope and flattened the rest. I did this mostly by my self and my kids helped hand me things and get the sand out of the sand box.
Before
This was a very fun project. It took about a month to finish. Kids really wanted a checkers board in it so they could play chess it whatever. Now I can host events for the family under the awning! Less mess! We used to have dirt kicked up everywhere, leaves and sticks would get stuck in between the rocks and give spiders and mice places to hide. Now it will be so easy to keep the yard nice next to the house.
